Our School

Rosedale Playschool is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy of education. Our preschool is for 3-4 year olds and is community based and oriented and we are a not-for-profit preschool. We have been encouraging minds through play for over 30 years in the community.

Our Vision

To have early childcare professionals, parents, and the community come together to provide the highest level of quality care and apply best practices to preschool age children in order to enrich their lives and prepare them for life.

Our Belief & Mission Statement

We believe that children learn through play and that the best method is through a child-initiated approach. We strive to provide an accepting environment that responds to and promotes individual differences, appreciation of individual capabilities, and respect regardless of a person’s health, developmental, economic, or social status or their cultural background.

Everyone in the community shares a role and responsibility for all children’s well being, therefore we value trust, honesty, community and participation in the program. We commit to providing an environment that promotes and supports good health and nutrition. We believe in encouraging and inspiring children to use and strengthen their abilities to enable them to reach their full potential. Therefore, we commit to providing a supportive environment that fosters development at a pace appropriate to each individual child to help them develop self-confidence and the ability to make appropriate choices and decisions.

Kindergarten Readiness Seminar

One of the biggest questions we get asked is “Do you think my child is ready for Kindergarten?” We want to help parents with this next step by having an evening addressing this question with an expert in the early education field: Heather Kinahan B.Ed, Sc.

Please join us on January 11 at 6:30 pm at the Wild Rose United Church (upstairs lounge).

Chilcare will be available upon request. Email info@rosedaleplayschool.com to reserve a spot.
